Peter Hansen - Professional

In this part of my webspace I have chosen to present a part of the professional Peter Hansen. This includes examples of my professional interests, my resume/CV, and some links to other resources online I have found valuable in my engineering work.

The picture in the left margin is a thermal image of me obtained with an infrared camera.

I have worked as a development engineer and thermal specialist in industry and academia in the area between electronics and mechanics since obtaining my Masters degree in engineering at Aalborg University in 1997

I have acquired extensive experience with thermal design, virtual qualification, and measurements in product development.

I have been using several numerical tools at an advanced level in the design process, such as Ansys/CFX, FloTherm, FEMLab and ANSYS Structural.

I am accustomed to collaborating internationally with state-of-the-art academia and applying research into product development.
In my professional work I have primarily addressed the following areas:

• Thermal design and management of power electronics
• Advanced use of CFD and FEM tools for thermal design and virtual qualification.
• Qualification for leadfree electronics
• Thermal design and virtual qualification of power modules.
